We got rain last night!! There was a big storm, with heavy winds, lightning, and thunder. It was AWESOME. We ended up with 1.4" near the house. That's the most rain we've gotten since January. And this storm was a fluke, since the high that's been sitting over us for basically all of the year just happened to kick a disturbance our way. I am seriously tired of going to the clinic on Friday to feel better (in therapy), only to catch a disease and feel WORSE by Monday. I got some kind of upper respiratory thing - whether an infection or a virus is yet to be seen. I had no idea I had so much phlegm in my head.  Yesterday, I had to go over to the clinic to pick up meds and drop off re-applications for benefits from the county for both Sis and me. First, I BAKED in the heat. I was ditzy and scattered because my brain was sizzling in my skull. At 2pm it was 99° with a heat index around 112°. Horrible.

She's been feeling really stressed lately because she's tired of feeling completely crappy all of the time. She feels like she can't just chalk it all up to having fibromyalgia, and had the doctor order a bunch of tests to check for other diseases like Sjogren's, Lupus, and rheumatoid arthritis, among others. Still enjoying the fun of viruses. I have learned to love/hate the breathe right strips... they have bruised my nose (which will look bad once I'm no longer sick), but without them, I can't breathe. Today it hit 98 with a humidity of 98%. This is the first day when it's been really really REALLY hot here. And there's a giant high pressure system overhead that's keeping us from getting any rain. :( At least the chance of rain starts up again over the weekend. Spent the weekend asleep, basically. After a full day on Friday of running around town, my body rebelled and complained at all of the work it had to do and had me completely laid up for the past two days. Our a/c is dying. The freon has leaked out almost completely, according to the first guy that came yesterday. Mom talked to Richard, the landlord, and he will replace the whole system, compressor and air handler and everything, but can't until July 17.
